Summary:

The HR Business Partner at Spirit is a forward facing member of the team. This position will work to build strong relationships alongside employees and leaders to meet strategic goals of the organization and company.

Location: KINSTON, NC

Key Accountabilities:

• Works closely with management, labor union and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
• Provide HR support to the leadership teams of multiple business units within Spirit
• Aligns HR activities with the organizational strategy
• Consults with first level management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues in partnership with HR, Ethics and Compliance, leadership and labor unions
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
• Collaborates with HR COEs to implement HR programs to meet HR objectives

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships across multiple levels of an organization
• Intellectual curiosity and empathy
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge / Experience in SAP
• Labor relations experience highly preferred
• SHRM CP and/ or HRCI PHR certification
• Change management
• Leadership development
